Title

Messerschmitt

Description

The company's history dates back to 1916 as an aircraft manufacturer. It underwent many organizational changes, and Willy Messerschmitt joined the company in 1927 as chief designer and engineer and formed a design team. For ten years after World War II, the company was not allowed to produce aircraft and instead built a series of microcars instead. Automobile production ceased in 1964.
