Description
In 1908, Walter E. Flanders (1871–1923) left the Ford Motor Company and co-founded, together with Bernard F. Everitt and William Metzger, the E-M-F Automobile Company in Detroit. In 1910, he founded the Flanders Automobile Company. E.M.F. sold a Model "30" and the Flanders Model "20". The least expensive Flanders Model 20 was the roadster version. Both brands were sold through Studebaker. In 1912, Studebaker took over E-M-F and Flanders completely, selling both as Studebakers.
