Velorex
Description
In 1943, Czech brothers František and MojmírStránský designed a small, cheap three-wheeled car for disabled veterans. By 1945, the duralumin bodywork had been swapped for a leathercloth-type material called Igelit, but the original tubular chassis was retained. In 1950 the Stranskys' design was taken over by a government co-operative called Velo, and their workshop was transferred to Hradec-Kralove, and renamed Velorex. The company went out of business in 1975.
